Delivery of Therapeutic Foster Care (Mandatory training for providers delivering Therapeutic Foster Care services)

In an effort to improve the network and referral system of Therapeutic Foster Care services within our community, Partners Behavioral Health Management is requiring all contracted providers to complete a mandatory training that will teach attendees how to use the Rapid Resource for Families database. The purpose of this database is to improve referral responses, and provide outcomes, that will enhance the delivery of therapeutic foster care services.

Partners is offering two training dates for Therapeutic Foster Care providers– September 18, 2018 and September 24, 2018. Both trainings will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. and will be held in Partners’ Hickory office.

Please note: This is a mandatory training. Providers are not required to attend both training sessions, however, a representative from your agency must attend on either September 18 or September 24.

Regional Trainings: Exploring the Mental Health Needs of Children and Youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

The NC Division of Mental Health Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services is hosting a series of regional trainings to support workforce development for systems that interact with, support, and  provide treatment for persons dually diagnosed with IDD and MI. State and local child services agencies, medical professionals, LME-MCO staff, providers, and other stakeholders (such as Social Services, Juvenile Justice, and Education professionals) in each region will benefit from NADD’s expertise on the following topics: Assessment Approaches & Differential Diagnosis; Research; Adapting Therapy Practices for People with IDD/MI; Community-Based Program Models; and Inter-Systems Collaboration.
