Taxonomy Edits

On August 1, 2017 Partners will begin editing against taxonomy codes in the AlphaMCS claims system.

  • If claims submitted into AlphaMCS do not have the necessary billing and rendering taxonomy as in the AlphaMCS contract, the claim will deny.
  • If the claims do not match what is in NCTracks, the claims will be recouped. Providers are responsible for verifying this information in NCTracks.

If you need claim denial assistance, please contact or call 704-842-6486.

Credentialing Updates

As previously announced, Partners’ credentialing process will be completely in-house as of July 1, 2017. Please see announcements and reminders related to this change below:

  • We will start importing information from CAQH into our database in the next two weeks for all credentialed clinicians. As this will be the official information of record for these clinicians, please ensure that all of your credentialed clinicians do the following:
    • Update their CAQH information and are in a “complete” status (“Initial Profile Complete” or “Reattestation”)
    • Give Partners authorization (either through global authorization or specific authorization for Partners) to view their information
  • While we had hoped that our database would be fully up and operational by July 1, 2017, we have been informed by our vendor that several aspects of our account will not be ready by July 1. We do not want to “go live” with our system until all pieces of it are operational. Therefore, we will wait to open it up to our network until we receive the all-clear from the vendor.
    • We will send out a Provider Alert and/or a Provider Communication Bulletin when the system becomes available. Please be on the lookout for this information in the coming days.
    • Until then, please continue to use the updated forms that are available on Partners’ Provider Knowledge Base and submit them as before.
  • If you have questions regarding the credentialing process, please feel free to call Partners’ new credentialing phone line: (704) 842-6483 or Fielding Yelverton, Credentialing Supervisor, at (704) 884-2505.
  • Additionally, you may email questions to Partners’ new credentialing email group:
