What is happening?
Beginning Jan. 9, 2023, Partners’ providers will use TruCare’s ProAuth platform for prior authorizations.

This means providers will no longer submit prior authorizations through Alpha+ effective at 5 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2023. They will begin submitting prior authorizations through ProAuth on Jan. 9, 2023.

Partners has posted on-demand webinar training for providers on TruCare’s ProAuth platform. Providers may register for and complete the training using this link: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5761252241289114201

When is this happening?

  • ProAuth goes live on 9, 2023
  • Training is available now and must be completed before 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023.

 Why is this happening?
As Partners moves toward operating a Tailored Plan, it is necessary to have a platform that incorporates behavioral and physical health authorization requests. ProAuth will allow Partners to support members’ integrated health needs.

What is the impact to providers?
Beginning Jan. 6 at 5 p.m., providers will no longer use Alpha+ to submit prior authorization requests. (Providers will continue to submit all behavioral health claims and State-funded claims through Alpha+).

Providers will access the ProAuth system through ProviderCONNECT, Partners’ secure provider portal as of Jan. 9, 2023 to submit prior authorizations.

*Please allow two hours for the training and be sure to complete the training prior to 5 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2023.

What if providers have open authorizations prior to Jan. 6, 2023?
If providers have open authorizations that were submitted to Alpha+ prior to 5 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2023, they will be completed in the Alpha+ system.

Providers with active authorizations that cross over this timeframe, no action is needed.
